A study of this standard permits a significant challenge to the estimator. This is residential work and this trade requires a fast pair of track shoes. Every nut, bolt and screw must be accounted and the standard must be understood to sell residential fire sprinklers with a profit.
The estimating system is built on what we know in our area. Trade practice varys' between communities.

SYSTEM 104 SERVICE AND RETROFIT
This system provides for the estimator who specializes in small repairs , retrofit work, and NFPA25 deficiency proposals. The estimator will have 2400 line items and numerous assemblies to chose from. They can use a single page, alter the pages, assemble multiple pages, or whatever it takes to complete and estimate. The estimate format is set up by the supervisor for estimators to follow.
